Refund Policy for Fiat-to-Fiat Money Transfers
1. Eligibility for Refunds
Transaction Errors: If a transfer was not completed as instructed due to errors on our part, clients are entitled to a full refund of the transaction amount and any associated fees.
Unauthorized Transactions: In cases where a transaction was unauthorized or fraudulent, clients should notify Exchanio immediately. Upon verification, a full refund will be issued.
2. Non-Refundable Circumstances
Completed Transactions: Once a transaction has been successfully completed and the funds have been delivered to the recipient, refunds are not possible.
Customer Errors: Errors made by the customer, such as providing incorrect recipient details, are not eligible for refunds. Clients are advised to review all transaction details carefully before submission.
Crypto Transactions: Transactions involving cryptocurrency (crypto-to-fiat or fiat-to-crypto) are non-refundable. Due to the immutable nature of blockchain technology, once a crypto transaction is confirmed, it cannot be reversed or undone. Refunds or chargebacks are not possible, as the transaction is permanently recorded on the blockchain.
Crypto Volatility Risks: Cryptocurrency prices fluctuate rapidly. If a refund is theoretically possible (in cases of exchange errors or system malfunctions), it may be issued in the equivalent fiat value at the time of refund, not the original crypto amount, to mitigate volatility risks.
3. Refund Request Process
Initiation: Clients must submit a refund request within 30 days of the transaction date by contacting Exchanio's customer support.
Documentation: Clients may be required to provide transaction receipts, identification, and a detailed explanation of the refund request.
Processing Time: Refund requests will be reviewed and processed within 10 business days. Approved refunds will be credited back to the original payment method used.
4. Compliance with Regulations
Exchanio adheres to all applicable U.S. laws and regulations governing money transfer services, including those outlined by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). Our refund policy is designed to comply with these regulations and to protect our clients' interests.
